HELPING GIRLS AND WOMEN WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY

About Period Poverty North Cumbria

In a nutshell, 'Period poverty' refers to having a lack of access to sanitary products due to financial constraints.

Period Poverty North Cumbria was established in June 2018 when a group of friends realised the need for people in our community who were strugging to access appropriate sanitary products.

The project has been steadily growing and we now have many collection points within Carlisle & Eden where FREE sanitary products can be access with dignity & respect. We will continue to add more collection points as they are established. We also have many donation points where you can drop off a donation if you would like to support the project.
